Built on the banks of the Bow River and over looking the Fish Creek Provincial Park river valley, this community is named after one of the areas first settlers, Mr. J McKenzie. Development started in 1982 on the community that surrounds this 43 acre lake and the adjacent 20 acre park. The amenities on the park include a Clubhouse for community events, swimming, boating, fishing, tennis courts and skating in the winter.
