Who Killed The Whyte Horse In Canmore?

Well this is a first for me. A client texted me yesterday to let me know that he was sorry that the café in Canmore that he was considering buying had “ditched”. Unsure of what he meant, I called to ask. He informed me that a family member who lives in Canmore was told that the owners of the restaurant had done a “midnight move” and stripped the place bare. Not only that, but they had left a DEAD horse on the front lawn!

Not that I didn’t believe him or his kin, but I had to verify this disturbing turn of events. I called my good friend Frank Barbaro, owner of the great little Italian restaurant Santa Lucia. Frank confirmed that they had done exactly that, and it was a horse skeleton. Seriously….WTF.. why is the realtor always the last to know? Not that I would have showed up with my truck and helped move tables and chairs or anything like that, but a phone call would have been ok with me!

Well.. I guess it was a not so subtle statement that the landlord had killed the Whyte Horse? The question now begs….do I still have a listing??

P.S. Here is an article that ran in the Calgary Herald the day after this post. Light switches and toilets......REALLY??!! Story Link

I am proud to announce another Sale at 2820 Centre STREET NE in Calgary.

**PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR A RESTAURANT OWNER OPERATOR OR A MIXED USE DEVELOPER**

Here is a rare opportunity to purchase a recently renovated, fully fixtured 6,000 sqft(+/-) restaurant or a prime redevelopment site on Centre Street North, located in the sought after community of Tuxedo Park. This 11,022 sqft(+/-) corner lot is located on the future Green Line LRT Route, within close proximity to a proposed station. The current zoning of Commercial - Corridor 2 (C-COR2 f1.0h10) allows for a wide variety of potential uses including; Pet Care, Restaurant, Veterinary Clinic, Brewery/Winery/Distillery, Carwash, Child Care, Drive Thru.

The renovations to the space were recent and of a very high quality, and make it VERY easy for a restauranteur to come in and open quickly with minimal renovation costs. The building is split into two sections, an up and lower area, served by a common kitchen. You could set the building up as a restaurant/lounge with VLT’s or you could run 2 completely different restaurants, in two different spaces. One side has a patio, and the upper section has a great balcony for small bistro tables. There is parking out front with a portion of that being covered, as well as a pylon sign on the roadside. The kitchen is very well laid out with solid infrastructure capable of produce consistent volume to service the building as well as the very strong delivery market in the surrounding area.

There is too much to cover here, please call to make an appointment to view this great opportunity!

Large Franchise Restaurant, Bar & Entertainment Venue For Sale in Alberta The owner of this flagship restaurant, bar and entertainment venue has multiple business holdings and would like to focus on those, so they have decided to put this store up for sale. This absolutely immaculate operation is an amazing opportunity for the right buyer. It is one of the nicest builds I have walked through in my career, with all the bells and whistles. When you tour through the business, you really get an idea of the scope of this operation. There is a huge rooftop patio and a full bowling alley and games area on the lower level. The store has so much to offer it makes it hard to cover in a few paragraphs, it truly is an amazing restaurant/pub business. If you would like a full information package, please call an NDA and a private tour.
