**This Seller is motivated to do a deal and move on with retirement.** This is one of the best opportunities I have had in a long while for a person to get started in the Pub business. Located on a very busy street in NW Calgary, this long established pub has all the things that you look for when buying a business. There is a strong core of regulars who view this place as their home and are there co...
If you are looking for a business that will double as a great restaurant and a very nice little nightclub, then you can stop looking!! This very stylish room functions as a beautiful daytime lunch venue for the surrounding business crowd in the neighboring downtown office towers. Then it converts to a very trendy nightclub on the weekends.
Built very well and with a great sense of style, this...
This modern and wonderfully equipped European Deli and Grocery is one of a kind in South Calgary. The design is colorful and bright, with lots of shelving and cooler space. Today’s business moves very quickly and is heavily impacted by the latest trends. Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter not only give business owner’s access to ten’s of thousands of potential customers, and they are FREE.
If you think that these networks are Fad’s or “time wasters”, think again! Here are some amazing stat’s;
By 2010 Gen Y will out number Baby Boomers and 96% of them have joined a social network.
We are very proud to announce today, the signing of a new location for Olivier Reynaud and Paul Rogalski, for their newest restaurant Bistro Rouge located in West Market Square on Sirocco Drive SW. This will be a fantastic addition to the Westside Area for people who love great food and great service, set in a contemporary French Brasserie.

The chance to get into a large facility with lots of seats and a fantastic kitchen are rare, but to do this in the South of the City with 9 VLT's is even rarer!
This is a well-known restaurant and lounge with a long history in the community. They have one of the best pizzas in town and there is lots of room to increase business. There are a number of other interesting points...
Well…. it’s been a while since I have blogged, but I have a good reason today. I met up with a buddy of mine, Richard Fuller for lunch, he is the owner of The Trough Dining Co. in Canmore. It was just a reason to have a bite and get the 411 on what’s happening in Canmore. If you haven’t been to The Trough, it is reason enough to make the beautiful drive to Canmore. Dana and I love the place, Richard takes great care of his customers, the food is fantastic and it’s a...
Well… we have been “kidless” around our house for the last few days, so the wife and I have been enjoying some romantic nights out. My good friend Jared Kichula and his stunning wife Aja have just returned from their honeymoon, so they invited us to join them for dinner at their wonderful restaurant La Vita e Bella, in the historic Dafoe Terrace Building in Victoria Park.
La Vita e Bella has been a labor of love for Jared and Aja, and it shows in every aspect of this warm and s...
Well this is a first for me. A client texted me yesterday to let me know that he was sorry that the café in Canmore that he was considering buying had “ditched”. Unsure of what he meant, I called to ask. He informed me that a family member who lives in Canmore was told that the owners of the restaurant had done a “midnight move” and stripped the place bare. Not only that, but they had left a DEAD horse on the front lawn!
Can I use the word “WOP” without offending my many Italian friends? Well…. in this case I don’t have a choice and if I offend you with the reference, then go down to 1216 - 9th Ave SE, walk upstairs and tell Executive Chef Angelo Contrada and his business partner Jesse Johnson how you feel. But while you’re there..... try the pizza!!
This is the latest homerun from the duo that brought us Sugo in 2001. WOP is located right next door to Sugo in the old Nectar Desserts...
Step into a magical space - a space that’s ready for a chef who’s looking to make their mark.
This completely redecorated and updated building has incredible touches of both hominess and whimsy. With funky nooks for dining and visiting – exposed brick walls, timber beams and hardwood floors, tin ceilings, and leather benches – it’s designed for the comfort and entertainment of visitors.
There’s even an elevated level for private gatherings that features unique décor and exceptional bench seating. From equipment to dishes, everything you need to open your own restaurant is already here and comes with the building.
To make things even more affordable and convenient – there is a back area currently used as a baking kitchen filled with sunshine … perfect for ice cream sales in the summer. With a bathroom and washer/dryer, this space could be easily doored off as a private suite.
Downstairs has a ton of room for storage and houses the newer furnace and hot water heater.
While the artwork and the clocks are part of the owner’s private collection, everything is negotiable.
Making things even more appealing is an adorable, attached 600 plus square foot two-bedroom, one bath, fully-renovated and furnished suite. It comes with washer dryer, dishwasher, tv, sofa and chair, fridge, stove and microwave. This space is currently rented and generating income.
The original building has been completely re-done. All windows and doors have been replaced, the roof has been insulted to R-40 standards and the roof covering has been replaced.
This is truly a unique, turnkey opportunity to walk in and start cooking. It’s a location that’s waiting for a creative chef, someone with a vision and the ability to market this special place and find out what it could really be. A destination dining experience… in a rural setting, in the hamlet of Granum, Alberta.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a truly multifaceted commercial property in Bragg Creek, Alberta. The offering includes a fully functioning, fully staffed, high quality restaurant operation with an outstanding reputation, along with exceptional long term redevelopment potential. Down the road, the site could lend itself to a larger commercial use such as a boutique hotel or other destination oriented project. Its future upside is especially compelling given its close proximity to the approved Gateway Village Development, a 12.6 acre master planned mixed use resort style project.
Bragg Creek has long been a sought after escape for those looking to enjoy the outdoors, great dining, and the charm of a vibrant hamlet just outside the city. The area is well known for hiking, biking, camping, horseback riding, and its collection of unique shops and restaurants. Tourism in the region has always been strong and continues to grow, with more and more visitors making the trip to Bragg Creek each year. Located just a short drive from the world famous Kananaskis Country recreation area and set against the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, the Bavarian Inn Restaurant is a legendary fixture in the Southern Alberta dining scene.
Known by many as the BAV TAV, the Bavarian Inn Restaurant has been serving guests since the 1970's and has built a long standing reputation for quality, consistency, and warm hospitality. It has been a trusted destination for casual family dinners, celebrations, and private gatherings, with owners who have carefully maintained its strong standing in the community over the years.
The building and property themselves are equally impressive. This well maintained, purpose built restaurant offers approximately 3,000 square feet on the main floor, featuring a welcoming dining room along with a separate, freshly renovated lounge and bar area. A beautiful wrap around patio services both spaces, adding to the guest experience and expanding seasonal seating potential. The kitchen is thoughtfully laid out with ample prep space, a large walk in cooler, and equipment that has been kept in excellent condition, with a new commercial flooring just installed. Inside, the dining room offers a warm and comfortable atmosphere, with a great mix of well spaced seating, abundant natural light during the day, and a wood burning fireplace that adds to the ambiance on cooler evenings.
What makes this opportunity even more exciting is the additional upside still to be realized. The full basement presents a range of possibilities, whether built out as an event space, another complementary business use, or even owner’s quarters. Opportunities like this are exceptionally rare, combining an established and respected business with a beautiful real estate asset and strong future development potential. This is a property that must be seen in person to fully appreciate everything it has to offer. Please call to arrange a private tour.
Sometimes I get unique opportunities that come up for sale and this is one of them!
A rare chance to buy a Bar \ Lounge with a very cool entertainment component. The business is built on family fun, a place for young people to gather and an amazing opportunity to build a very strong corporate team building business as well. There is a small kitchen that is easily operated by staff, without the need for a formal Chef or cooking staff, but you could also explore the idea of putting in a formal full scale kitchen.
The rent is VERY reasonable and the whole operation can be run with minimal staff, making it a desirable business model for an ambitious young operator to take to the next level. There are so many things that you need to know about this opportunity, so make a point of checking out this very cool business opportunity.
