Well my trip to Edmonton was very positive for a number of different reasons, but one of which is VERY interesting.
I stopped into West Edmonton Mall after a meeting to grab a bite. As I walked down Bourbon Street, feeling like I was back in Vegas, I decided to park myself at a table in Hudson's. Now this is not my first time at Hudson's, but it was at this location, and it's beautiful! Lot's of TV's, a warm inviting atmosphere and very friendly service proved that I made the right choice. I looked...

Well.. needless to say it was another rockin evening in Calgary's Pumphill district, as the 11th Annual Red Meat Party surged into the night. Countless friends, colleagues and client's of Kahane Law enjoyed the Studio 54 themed festivities with bell bottom jeans, Afro's of every color and description and the best collection of platform shoes I have seen since watching re-runs of Starsky and Hutch.
The food was once again indescribable, as every type of red meat you can think of was BBQ'd, smoked and...

Hello Rob, I would like to take a moment to thank you for your help with the purchase of The Three Crowns Pub. The fact that you took the time to learn about who we were and what our needs were was integral in being able to find the right fit for our concept. The fact that you didn’t try to “sell...

Here is a new listing that I am happy to post in Okotoks.
**Established Community Liquor Retailer with Real Estate Ownership Opportunity**
This locally trusted liquor retailer has built a strong reputation for friendly, knowledgeable service and a well curated product mix that appeals to both everyday shoppers and discerning enthusiasts. With consistent customer traffic and strong community goodwill, the business operates as a reliable neighbourhood destination known for quality selection and convenience.
The store features a broad and diverse inventory of beer, wine and spirits sourced from both domestic producers and international markets. Customers enjoy access to popular national brands, premium imports, and a thoughtful mix of craft offerings. The wine portfolio spans Old World and New World regions, offering approachable everyday selections alongside premium bottles suited for entertaining and gifting. The spirits category is comprehensive, including Canadian and International Whiskies, Vodka, Gin, Rum, Tequila, Scotch, Liqueurs, Brandy and Cognac, providing balanced appeal across multiple price points and customer preferences. Complementing the core categories are Coolers, Ciders, “Ready-to-Drink” beverages, non alcoholic options, and essential add on products such as mixers and ice, reinforcing its position as a convenient one stop shop.
A significant differentiating factor is the opportunity to acquire the real estate along with the business. Ownership of the underlying property provides long term stability, protection against rising lease costs, and the potential for future appreciation an increasingly rare advantage in today’s retail environment. For owner operators seeking control over occupancy costs, or investors looking for both operating income and tangible asset security, this combined business and real estate offering represents a compelling and well balanced acquisition opportunity.
Here is a new listing that I am happy to post in Red Deer.
The Seller has decided to cut this location from their operation, so this is a great chance for you to pick up a built out QSR location for your concept at a great price. Equipped with a full exhaust system, fire suppression and make up air, all the equipment is newer, so just bring your concept. The location has a few seats for customers or delivery drivers, as well as customer facing washrooms. The conversion to a new concept will be very easy to your business’s design spec. If you have a QSR concept and need a location, you need to take a look at this opportunity. Here is a new listing that I am happy to post in 402 Centre STREET SE in High River. Here is an opportunity to take over a well established bar and grill in the growing community of High River. Sally’s Bar & Grill has built its business around a comfortable, casual atmosphere, traditional pub style food, cold drinks and regular entertainment that keeps customers coming back.
Located on Centre Street SE, the business benefits from a visible and easily accessible location and serves a mix of local regulars, surrounding rural customers and visitors to the High River area.
The restaurant and bar offers an established food and beverage operation with a familiar neighbourhood pub atmosphere. Regular entertainment including karaoke, live music and special event nights gives the business additional reasons to bring customers through the doors beyond the traditional lunch and dinner business.
A significant feature of this operation is its 14 VLTs, which provide an additional and established revenue stream to the business. The VLT operation generates strong cash flow and complements the food, beverage and entertainment sides of the business, giving a purchaser multiple sources of revenue within one established operation.
This is the type of business that gives a new owner several directions to take it. Continue operating Sally’s and build on the existing customer base, local recognition and established revenue streams, or bring your own ideas, marketing and operating style to the location.
For an owner/operator looking for an established restaurant and bar outside Calgary, this is a solid opportunity to step into an existing operation in a strong Southern Alberta community.
High River recorded a population of more than 14,300 in the 2021 Census and also serves as an important commercial and service centre for the surrounding Foothills region. Foothills County recorded a population of more than 23,000 and includes a large rural trading area made up of nearby communities, acreages, agricultural operations and country residential properties.
High River’s location approximately 30 minutes south of Calgary’s southern city limits also gives the community strong regional access, while continued residential, commercial and employment growth throughout the Foothills area supports the long term potential of the local market.
A solid opportunity to acquire an established hospitality business with an existing customer base, recognizable local presence, multiple revenue streams and access to a trading area that extends well beyond the Town of High River itself.
Contact your agent for additional information and details on the business. |
