Well my trip to Edmonton was very positive for a number of different reasons, but one of which is VERY interesting.
I stopped into West Edmonton Mall after a meeting to grab a bite. As I walked down Bourbon Street, feeling like I was back in Vegas, I decided to park myself at a table in Hudson's. Now this is not my first time at Hudson's, but it was at this location, and it's beautiful! Lot's of TV's, a warm inviting atmosphere and very friendly service proved that I made the right choice. I looked...

Well.. needless to say it was another rockin evening in Calgary's Pumphill district, as the 11th Annual Red Meat Party surged into the night. Countless friends, colleagues and client's of Kahane Law enjoyed the Studio 54 themed festivities with bell bottom jeans, Afro's of every color and description and the best collection of platform shoes I have seen since watching re-runs of Starsky and Hutch.
The food was once again indescribable, as every type of red meat you can think of was BBQ'd, smoked and...

**Established Community Liquor Retailer with Real Estate Ownership Opportunity**
This locally trusted liquor retailer has built a strong reputation for friendly, knowledgeable service and a well curated product mix that appeals to both everyday shoppers and discerning enthusiasts. With consistent customer traffic and strong community goodwill, the business operates as a reliable neighbourhood destination known for quality selection and convenience.
The store features a broad and diverse inventory of beer, wine and spirits sourced from both domestic producers and international markets. Customers enjoy access to popular national brands, premium imports, and a thoughtful mix of craft offerings. The wine portfolio spans Old World and New World regions, offering approachable everyday selections alongside premium bottles suited for entertaining and gifting. The spirits category is comprehensive, including Canadian and International Whiskies, Vodka, Gin, Rum, Tequila, Scotch, Liqueurs, Brandy and Cognac, providing balanced appeal across multiple price points and customer preferences. Complementing the core categories are Coolers, Ciders, “Ready-to-Drink” beverages, non alcoholic options, and essential add on products such as mixers and ice, reinforcing its position as a convenient one stop shop.
A significant differentiating factor is the opportunity to acquire the real estate along with the business. Ownership of the underlying property provides long term stability, protection against rising lease costs, and the potential for future appreciation an increasingly rare advantage in today’s retail environment. For owner operators seeking control over occupancy costs, or investors looking for both operating income and tangible asset security, this combined business and real estate offering represents a compelling and well balanced acquisition opportunity. Here is a new listing that I am happy to post in Calgary. Rare opportunity to acquire an established quick-service restaurant operating from a high-traffic shopping centre food court. This compact and efficient 413 sq. ft. operation serves fresh, made-to-order food and benefits from the steady customer traffic, convenient parking and extensive common-area seating that come with a major retail environment.
The business has a proven sales history, reporting good annual gross sales. The operation is currently staffed with three full-time hourly employees and two part-time employees, providing an established structure for a new owner to step into.
The restaurant is designed around a streamlined food court service model, with meals prepared fresh in front of the customer. Its small footprint helps maximize the productivity of the space while the surrounding shopping centre provides significant customer seating and ample parking without the operator having to maintain a separate dining room.
The current lease has approximately three years remaining with an additional five-year option available, providing a purchaser with the opportunity for longer-term occupancy.
This is a strong opportunity for an owner/operator or experienced food-service buyer looking for an established business with solid historical sales, manageable staffing requirements and the built-in traffic of a busy retail setting.
Confidentiality is required. Please do not approach or speak with staff or ownership directly. Additional information will be provided to qualified purchasers through the listing agent.
Here is a new listing that I am happy to post in Sherwood Park.
A rare opportunity is available to acquire an existing restaurant location in a well-established Greater Edmonton area market with an attractive monthly rent structure. This location may be ideal for an owner operator, expanding restaurant group, or buyer seeking a lower overhead entry point into an existing food service space.
The premises are already set up for restaurant use, offering a buyer the potential to reduce the time and expense normally associated with developing a new location. The space could suit a variety of quick service or fast casual food concepts, depending on the buyer’s business plan, operational requirements, and landlord approval.
A purchaser may have the option to continue with the current concept, subject to the required approvals and agreements, or use the existing infrastructure as a foundation for their own restaurant model. Any change to the business concept, use, assignment, or tenancy would require landlord approval, along with all applicable licensing and regulatory approvals. |
